Afro-Cuban music is a melting pot of African and European harmonies, melodies, rhythms and musical instruments. With this project, Fuasi visits his roots through the influence and contributions of the Yoruba, Bantu, Ewe-Fon and Mandinga peoples of West Africa combined with the impressions of Hispanic culture.
Together with the spirited and charismatic Cuban singer, Pina Lopez, and along with the African-American art form called Jazz, this group shares with the audience the hot & spicy rhythms, lyrics and sounds of this music which has since the 1960's been known as Salsa ("Hot Sauce").
